Munk Bio
I
originally started playing guitar in 1972. I’d been kind of a nerd into
electronics when I discovered girls were not impressed by ham radio geeks and
began to apply my electronics to band sound and amp modification because the
bands were where that was at. Since I did not yet wear glasses at the time, I
grew my hair long and was able to pass for cool that way. And, bonus! The guys
in the band even condescended to show me stuff on the guitar!
Around
1980, disregarding David Crosby's advice, I cut my hair. I got into business,
chased dollars, even wore a tie for a while, and developed high blood pressure.
Making
a resolution for the a new millennium, I reverted from yuppie to hippie; dusted
off my guitar and got un-focused. I'm happiest when in pursuit of the perfect
note.
